Pro Almost never have to "think" in JavaScript
You have to be aware of how JS libraries work in terms of their API, but your brain can stay in Python mode when coding.
Cons
Con You still have to understand how JavaScript libraries work in order to utilize them.
Con No eval
You can't eval or exec Python code. (You can still eval JavaScript though.) This means no Python REPL either.
Con Non-standard semantics
By default, Transcrypt does not work quite the same way as Python, which can lead to subtle bugs if you don't know about all of them and expect it to work like Python. For example, [] is truthy, like in JavaScript, not Falsy, like in Python. (There is a __pragma__ to change this.)
Con Batteries not included
The Python standard library is not available. Therefore, most Python libraries won't work either. Fortunately, there are a lot of JavaScript libraries you can use instead. Unfortunately, they're not very Pythonic. It feels like writing JavaScript with Python syntax.
