When generating a diagram from a database or schema, of even moderate complexity, MySQL Workbench does not automatically prevent table elements from overlapping or even overlying each other, and requires a fair amount of manual dragging to get a useful diagram to show a client. See More
MySQL Workbench, while great, has some issues dealing with the supposed 'drop in replacement', MariaDB in its current incarnation (18.104.22.168 build 397), and them being in somewhat competition I don't see the compatibility agenda being pushed any time soon See More
