Cons
Con A bit of bloat
WP has grown past being just a blogging platform and as such it's not as lightweight as it used to be.
Con Wordpress has one thing going for it, extensions. If you need functionality that is outside of the extensions, which most significant sites do, your costs are going to jump.
The complexity, bloat and sluggish programming in wordpress makes it easy to put up a quick site. But anything that requires actual programming is going to drive costs up quickly.

The swiss army knife of CMSs. Lots of themes available, very many for free. Plugins for just about anything you may need. The ecosystem is very big and will cover much of what you require.
