The individual keys are designed to have rounded edges that facilitates gliding from letter to letter. The concave shape of the keys makes the typing more smooth and seemingly reduces the amount of force that is necessary to press the button, and the cushioned palm rest provides great support to your hands and alleviates much of the strain from your wrists. No need to risk a miss on your first keystroke from the backlight having gone to sleep to save battery power, this keyboard can sense your hands moving into position over the keys and restores the backlight instantly. It's really quite magical to experience. See More
These aren't the worst wireless keyboards around, but they're not built to last at all. I've had two fail on me in under 3.5 years that received no abuse beyond the expected use as a daily driver by a full-time software developer. The first was RMA'd successfully to Logitech, but I wasn't so fortunate with the second. I'm not finding many other wireless models on the market with a comparable hand-detection illumination trigger (the keyboard illuminates before your first keystroke from sensing your fingers hovering above it) which is an awful blow as that is my favorite feature in backlit keyboards, but I'm not willing to throw good money after bad on anymore K800s. There is an on off switch on the keyboard that allows the user to turn off the backlight illumination of the keyboard. This is a lot easier than using software on the PC as it is more accessible, especially if the screen is off. See More
What makes the backlighting of this keyboard so great, is that only the symbols are illuminated, making it very easy to discern each individual letter or number in the dark. Moreover, the brigthness of the illumination is adjusted automatically, depending on the lighting conditions in your room (although you can also change it manually). See More
