Pros
Pro Uses Debian installer
Using a non-live install medium provides the Debian installer for expert installs, making it easy to choose an init system (sysvinit or OpenRC), a release (Stable, Testing, Unstable), a boot loader (lilo or grub2), install onto multiple disks with mbr or gpt partitions, create lvm volumes, create raid volumes, or encrypt disks.
Cons
Con Able to install all required ALSA packages before removing bloated Pulse Audio without breaking the system

Flagged Pros + Cons
Pro No systemd
Isn't using systemd as init which is bloated and can spread malware into your system.
Pro It's debian
Devuan is Debian just without systemd, it just mirrors the Debian archive and repacks packages that have hard dependencies on systemd.

Out of Date Pros + Cons
Con Almost impossible to install on non-free hardware
Unlike Debian, Devuan offers no unfree netinstall media, so if your system needs unfree drivers (eg. an Intel Wifi-card), it's nearly impossible to install Devuan on it.
