The Priv is BlackBerry's first flagship phone that runs the Android operating system. It features a vertical slide-out keyboard.

Pros
Pro Amazing physical keyboard
The screen on the Priv slides up to reveal a physical backlit keyboard - similar to the old BlackBerry Torch. It is by far the best physical keyboard on any modern phone, although it is a bit cramped. Most users report faster typing speeds on the Priv's hardware keyboard than software keyboards.
Even if you don't like typing on the keyboard, it has built-in capacitive sensors that allow you to scroll on the keyboard to scroll through feeds like a trackpad so your fingers aren't covering the display. This also makes selecting text easier, and you can also set up to 52 shortcuts for hitting any of the keys (short press and long touch).
Because of those capacitive sensors, you can also swipe across letters on the physical keyboard to make words instead of pressing each individual key.
Pro Productivity focused
The default launcher displays 3 dots under some app icons - when you swipe up on these icons it will open the widget for it. This lets you glance at important information or updates without needing to fully load the app, or take up room on your home screen.
Swiping in from the right of the screen brings up the productivity tab, which quickly lets you create task lists, open email, contacts and calendar apps.
Pro Easy notification handling
BlackBerry Hub brings together all of your social notifications into one feed, letting you catch up with all your friends and family through one app instead of many separate apps.
Also, the notification drawer has been tweaked to add tabs for each app - letting you see only notifications for one app at a time instead of mashing them all together.
Pro Amazing display
The 5.4" 1440p Amoled display provides great colors as well as pure blacks, and the glass is curved at both edges to make swiping in from the sides smoother and more enjoyable (similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge, except less prominent). It is one of the nicest displays on the market.
